Gruppo Setramar

Through its subsidiary Armamento Setramar, which is still upholding a tradition born in the sixties for the transportation of timber from West Africa to Italy via the Transwood line (called later Transmare and ultimately Setramar Navigazione), the Setramar Group specializes in sea transportation activities, particularly dry bulk.

It provides its services thanks to a fleet of both owned and leased vessels (hired by journey or for indicated periods of time) ensuring maximum commercial flexibility by adapting to specific needs. Its main area of commercial interest is the Mediterranean Basin, the Black Sea and the North Continent (the Atlantic coast of Europe).

Besides engaging in shipping activities, and through its participation in the Gesmar Group, Setramar is active in the sector of technical-nautical towage in the main ports of the Adriatic and Ionian seas. The quality of its service is ensured by the constant investments that have made Gesmar's fleet one of the most important in the Mediterranean context.

The port towage services are compounded with deep-sea services, escort, supply, prevention and containment of environmental disasters caused by oil spills and other pollutants.

Its qualified personnel and applied technology in land and on-board instruments are the principal resources of this Division that has become today an established player on the national and international levels.
